Out there in the dark between the stars we found wondrous things and terrible things. In black holes and nebulae we found gods, seeders of planetary life, shapers of cosmic forces, strange and unknowable—and very, very lucrative.
You are the captain of a factory ship. You and your crew hunt, harpoon, and process gods for their meat, oil, and other valuable products.
This is a solo roll n write game for people who like lots of tables and lots of maths and a bit of blasphemy.
This game is incomplete. This is a playable ashcan edition. Art and layout has not been completed.

I see that development for this game is on hold. I recently found it and fell in love. Are you interested in playtest feedback? How do you feel about homebrew content?
hey, I'm glad you liked it! Please by all means let me know what you thought. At this stage I consider it essentially complete apart from the typos, and I just stalled out forever on the art and layout, but it's definitely my most mechanically complex game so I'd especially love any feedback about balance and flow. Homebrew content is very exciting, I did so much research about historical whaling, animal commodities, maths about meat, and more to build this universe, so it's incredibly gratifying that you want to expand it and I'd love to see what you come up with.
I didn't mean to comment and then disappear on you, sorry. Some bad stuff went down in my personal life, but things are looking up now and I've been getting back into gaming.
My notes got long, so I organized them into a document. I've also made three homebrew expansions, descriptions below. They're just in the same google drive now but if you don't mind I'd like to pretty them up to publish here on itch.

Genesis 1:28 Expanded Features & Events
("i give you dominion over all the beasts ... be ye fruitful and multiply")
includes new take variables, new tables of events and features, and new mutiny rules. I think of this one as being like vanilla+. the numbers are not based on reality or any sort of research, but rather what felt fun while playing tho.
Matthew 22:21 Shareholders & Bounties
("give unto caesar the things which are caesar's...")
includes rules for simulating shareholders by motive, effects for having those shareholders, and something that resembles a questing system. mostly a bit of additional prep at the beginning of the game and probably not everybody's cup of tea.
Revelation 20:15 Ship Options & Upgrades
("is not God high in the heavens? See the highest stars, how lofty they are")
includes two new ship types, drydock rules for improving your ship between expeditions, and a whole host of ship upgrades that allow you to manipulate various rolls. the numbers in this one aren't tested yet, it's less playtested than the other two. also includes a pun I'm very proud of.

ok hey first of all I'm glad to hear things are getting better for you and I hope that continues.
I've still not had time to test your expansions out for myself but
I spent a week making pterodactyl noises about themI've given them a thorough reading and I really like them. You personally officially have my permission to pretty them up and publish them here on itch, you can even charge money for them if you want, and I'll link to them from the main project page, just let me know when they're up.Sidenote on the matter of puns, I don't think I said this anywhere publicly but the title actually came from when I saw "as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD" rendered as an instant pot decal on etsy and parsed "serve" in the sense of "as a meal" instead of "with obedience/deference" (which I suppose Catholics kind of do with the transubstantiation but anyway I took it literally).
Lastly this playtest feedback is clutch actually, thank you so much. This will almost certainly give me the push I need to get back to it, and maybe even finish it for real.
