economic ashcan anomaly
Joshua 24:15 » Devlog
I tried to separate the implementation of damage, wages, and supplies but it turned out that I had to do them all together. What I thought of as three different mechanics was in a sense one big economy mechanic. The funny thing is, doing them all together went quicker than I expected doing any of them individually to.
- Events can now cause damage to your ship. This will need to be repaired between expeditions, unless you want to die in the pitiless vacuum of space.
- Supplies now have a per-month cost.
- You now have limited opportunity to escape the yoke of shareholder profit extraction--if you can fund your own expedition.
- Custom of the Stars (cannibalism) now carries permanent penalties.
- The Custom of the Stars section heavily rewritten to just be better.
- Fixed a lot of just weird typos and things throughout the document.
I think, mechanically speaking, this is it. This is the game. I'm going to take another short break from it and do another sweep for typos and clarity, and I have no idea how long the whole art and layout situation will take.
