a.02 embezzlement on the high seas
Here's a pretty major update just in time for the end of the jam. Three pages is major right? It feels major. I'm calling it major. This update fully implements the Features and Embezzlement mechanics.
- New mechanics! Create weird random gods and carve them up for profit anyway. Steal from your bosses or alienate your colleagues, the choice is yours.
- New tables! A table of random-ish features and products for every god, and a table of rare special features.
- New lore! A whole page of details about the special features and why they're so valuable.
Did you know the chance of rolling a 7 on 2 six-sided dice is the same as the chance rolling doubles? When I was working on the mechanics for this update I checked some probability tables to see which was more probable and it turns out they're the same. The chance of rolling any specific double is much lower but any unspecified double has the same chance as 7, which is 0.167 or 16.7%.
So anyway now I'm gonna take a week off and then hopefully I'll bring it all home for Portland Indie Game Squad's Finish Your Game jam.
Good hunting, friends!
